David Leon Childs, 76, of Warrensburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the Missouri Veterans Home.

Cremation is planned with no services under the direction of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Veterans Home and can be left in care of the funeral home.

David was born June 2, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Paul E. and Earlene (Arnett) Childs.

David is survived by his son, Michael Childs, of Lee’s Summit; and two brothers, Robert Childs, of Poplar Grove, Illinois, and Charles Childs of Gladstone, Missouri.
