David K. Johnson, 91, of Latour, Missouri, died March 12, at Holden Manor Care Center, Holden, Missouri. Arrangements are pending at this time.

The visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m.

David was born Nov. 7, 1924, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of George C. and Margaret (Farnsworth) Johnson of Latour, Missouri. He married Geraldine Y. Atkinson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Atkinson of Blairstown, Missouri, on April 21, 1957, at the New Liberty Presbyterian Church in Denton, Missouri.

David was a graduate of the Latour High School and served in the United States Army Counter Intelligence and Mechanisms. After leaving the service, he was engaged in farming and livestock. David was also a member of the Latour Presbyterian Church and for many years he served as elder and church treasurer.

David is survived by his wife of the home Geraldine Johnson, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Carol Johnson; three brothers, Ben, Ike, and George Johnson; one sister, Francis Porter; three nieces Mary Porter, Karla Burton and Marie Kimberlin; and one great-nephew Casey Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Holden Cemetery.
