Dianna L. McBaine

Dianna L. McBaine, 56, of Windsor, Mo., died Monday, April 21, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Mo.

Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens with Dr. Dan Lowry officiating.  Pallbearers will be Ernie King, Josh King, Jesse Barrett, Bobby Packham, Bill Boyd, and Matt Neale.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Dianna L. McBaine Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Amanda Boyd or the American Heart Association or Ellis Fischel Cancer Hospital and all can be left in care of the funeral home.

She was born January 4, 1958, in Clinton, Mo., the daughter of Eddie and Betty (Clear) McBaine.

On January 31, 1986, she was united in marriage to Steven Burge in Warrensburg.  He preceded her in death on April 18, 2008.

Dianna was a graduate of Leeton High School class of 1976.  She then attended and received her Bachelor’s degree in 1994 from Central Missouri State University.  Dianna worked as a Special Education Elementary teacher for the Leeton R-10 School District for six years, and later worked as a substitute teacher for the surrounding school districts for another 10 years until her health declined.  She was a member of the Leeton Christian Church.

Dianna is survived by two daughters, Amanda Boyd and husband, Jesse Barrett of Windsor and Joanna Taylor and husband, Bobby Packham of Leeton, Mo.; one brother, Ernie King of Warrensburg; two sisters, Brenda Snorgrass of Kansas City, Mo., and Cynthia Hopkins of Harrisonville, Mo.; her step-father Jerrold King of Leeton, and 12 grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her mother and one brother J.R. King.
