Dolores Barbara Peterson, 80, of John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, formerly of Knob Noster, Missouri, died Thursday, April 7.

Dolores was born May 18, 1935, the daughter of George E. and Leona Maude (Nace) Fockler, in Knob Noster, Missouri.

On July 19, 1979, she and Jon Peterson were united in marriage at Pleasant Bethel Baptist Church. He preceded her in death Feb. 7, 2016.

Dolores was a resident of Knob Noster all of her life and worked as a cook at the Knob Noster Elementary School, the Knob Noster Motel and the Knob Noster Café.

She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Dolores is survived by two sons, Noland Schubert and wife, Nancy, and Chester Schubert and wife, Valerie, of Olathe, Kansas; a daughter, Janice Schubert, of Lutz, Florida; a sister, Agnes Beard, of Knob Noster; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cremation is planned in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with no services planned.
