Donald R. Manley, 74 of Leeton, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 22, at the Windsor Rehabilitation Center in Windsor, Mo.
Don was born April 7, 1940, in St. Clair County, Mo., the son of William Henry and Eva Morrison Manley.
He was a member of the Teamsters for 22 years, ran a ranch for Roy Williams and trained and showed horses most of his life. Don enjoyed watching his grandchildren and teaching them little rhymes to irritate their parents. He also made many friends while talking on his CB radio.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Kauffman Manley; three sons, Royal Manley and wife Marijayne and children Bailee, Levi and Reed Manley of Leeton; Clinton Moore and children Taylor, Austin and Skylar Moore of Belton; Kevin Manley and children Terry Don and Mindy of Louisiana; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Don was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Leitta Murray of Utah; two brothers, Otis and Robert Manley; two sisters, Viola Howerton and Gladys Goodman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Mo. with Reverend Harvey Beach officiating.
Interment will follow at Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House (St. Louis) or the Warrensburg Veteran’s Home, and both can be left in care of the funeral home.
