The Johnson County Historical Society and local radio program The Eclectic Café are set to kickoff the seventh annual Eclectic Café Concert Series at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the original Johnson County Courthouse, 302 N. Main St. on the west side of Warrensburg, Missouri.

The acoustics of the 175-year old building allows the performers to play without amplification. Candles and mirrors provide the lighting. Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. All performances are presented free of charge. However, donations will be accepted to benefit the Johnson County Historical Society.

Friday’s concert features two-time winner of the Merle Travis thumb-picking championship and the 2015 winner of the Rock House singer-songwriter competition, Shannon Stine. Saturday’s concerts features the return of Kasey Dawn Rausch who will be joined by Marco Pascolini for the hour-long concert.
