Shirley Briscoe of Shiloh Baptist Church has organized a free outdoor concert to benefit the people affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.

The concert will be held on Saturday Sept. 30, at 3 p.m. on the Downtown Courthouse Lawn.

Several local church choirs and individuals will come together to perform on the lawn. Performances include UCM Anointed by Christ Gospel Choir, Jesus Saves soloist, Shiloh Baptist and Emmanuel Lutheran.

The event will have free hot dogs, drinks and popcorn. The public is encouraged to bring your lawn chairs to enjoy this family friendly event. If you are unable to attend but are would like to donate, please contact Shiloh Baptist Church.

Donations are encouraged during the event. All donations will be sent to Heart to Heart International.
Heart to Heart International is a Kansas City based organization that focuses on strengthening communities through improving health access, providing humanitarian development and administering crisis relief worldwide.

Over the past several weeks, hurricanes have ripped through Texas and Florida. Thousands have been left without basic needs like shelter, clean water and clothing.
