Lifelong Learning at UCM is offering a program to sharpen bird watching skills titled “Birds of Pertle Springs” at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15. Participants should meet at the first parking lot on the left from the main entrance to Pertle Springs. In case of inclement weather, the group will meet in Room 118 in the W.C. Morris Building on the UCM campus. The program will feature Kurt Dean, assistant professor of biology and agriculture. Participants will join Dean in a hike around the Pertle Springs grounds in the search for birds. Participants can bring binoculars to aid in viewing.
