Mid-Missouri Artists will begin 2018 with a program Thursday, Jan. 25, designed to get people inspired and look at new ways of creating art. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Arts and Crafts Room of the Warrensburg Community Center, 445 E. Gay St.

There will be “Winter Art” Inspiration from the Internet, videos featuring Adonna Khare (charcoal dra ing), John Salminen (watercolors), Mark Messersmith (oil painting) and Manabu Ikeda (pen and ink).

MMA plans for 2018 will be discussed and those present will vote on the 2018 Art Challenge, choosing a theme to be used by everyone in creating works based on that topic or theme.

Membership in MMA is open to all artists and photographers as well as persons who appreciate art. Monthly programs are open to the public and presented at no charge.
