There will be an Old Drum open mic Nov. 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Java Junction in downtown Warrensburg.

This is your “open call” invitation to pre-register to present original songs, short stories, scripts, essays, poems, music comedy sketches or memoirs at Warrensburg’s Old Drum Open Mic.

Walk-in presenters can often be incorporated into the evening’s line-up, but pre-registration makes scheduling and promotions so much easier.  Presentation slots are limited to 15 minutes and most presenters require only a fraction of that.  To register, we’ll need  your name(s),  your town of residence if different from Warrensburg,  the type of work you will present, and the title of the work you plan to present.  Send that information to the Old Drum Open Mic Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Old-Drum-Open-Mic-446574305430560/ or by e-mail to mpearce@embarqmail.com . Old Drum Open Mic takes place the first Thursday of every month and is designed to further develop the creative arts in the community.  The event is free to audience members and presenters alike.
