Volunteer Training for Temporary Homeless Shelter

Standing In The Gap Ministries, Johnson County Cares and Soul Fire Ministries have come together to open a Temporary Homeless Shelter in Warrensburg to help individuals that are in the cold weather.
They are in need of volunteers nightly to remain open. Volunteer shifts are 5 to 7 p.m., 7 to 11 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 8 a.m., from now through March 31. A male and female are needed for each shift.
Attend the training Tuesday night to see how you can help. You can also contact Brandie Estes with Soul Fire Ministries at (660)-596-4991 with any questions about scheduling.
Volunteers must pass a basic criminal background check and must be 18 or older.
