Frank E. Irvine

Frank Eugene Irvine, 75, of Centerview, died Saturday, Feb. 23 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, March 1 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg with Pastor Bobby Kent officiating. Pallbearers will be Rusty Longacre, Phillip Milstead, Rick Roper, Marvin Allen Wishon, Rodney Street, and Jack Caparoon.

Interment will follow at Centerview Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

He was born March 18, 1937, in Centerview, the son of John David and Pearl (Ruppert) Irvine.

On Aug. 31, 1957, he was united in marriage to Thelma Harmel in Miami, Okla.

Frank served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1966 and was a Vietnam veteran. After his military service, he worked for MFA in Centerview and Warrensburg. He also worked in construction as a carpenter and for Central Missouri State University Furniture Repair. Frank was a member of the Medford Methodist Church.

Frank is survived by his wife Thelma; two sons: Karl Irvine, Gerald Irvine and wife Linda, all of Centerview; one daughter, Teresa Crane and husband Neil of Knob Noster; one brother, Charles Irvine and wife Edith of Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Nellie Martin of Warrensburg; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Vernon Irvine and John David Irvine, in infancy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Medford Methodist Church and can be left in care of the funeral home.
