Glenna Jean Judd

Glenna Jean Judd, 71, of Knob Noster, Missouri, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg with Pastor Roger Brant officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Knob Noster Cemetery.

Glenna was born March 25, 1944, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of David and Leona (Lawson) Eddings.

She and Curtis “Buddy” Judd were married July 22, 1967, in Knob Noster.

Glenna was a beautician for many years in the Knob Noster area and later did housekeeping for several families in the area. She loved to spend time at the Lake of the Ozarks, playing bingo, cards, crocheting, and collecting ceramic angel figurines.

Glenna was born hearing impaired and attended the University of Kansas School for the Deaf in Lawrence, Kansas, where she was certified as a lip-reader.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis “Buddy” Judd, of Knob Noster; a daughter, Connie Judd-Sullivan and husband, Phillip, of Warrensburg; a brother, George Eddings and wife, Beth, of Versailles; four grandchildren, Juanita Judd Hampton and husband, Andy, of Hampton, Virginia; Tanner and Judd P. Sullivan, of Warrensburg; and Josh Lackey, of Warrensburg; and one great-granddaughter, Jessie Judd, of Hampton Virginia.

She was preceded in death by one son, George Allen Judd, on May 9, 2011; one son in infancy, Timothy Strain; a grandson, Jesse Lackey, on Oct. 20, 2008; two brothers, Ed and David Eddings; and two sisters, Jean Ussery and Martha Kay Eddings.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Midwest Hearing Institute and can be left in care of the funeral home.
