Grady Hibbs

Grady Hibbs, 81, of Warrensburg, Missouri, formerly of Holden, Missouri, died June 9, at his home.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Enon Baptist Church in Pittsville, Missouri.

Graveside services will follow after lunch at 3 p.m at Englewood Cemetery in Clinton, Missouri.

Grady was born Oct. 19, 1935, in Clinton to Alfred E. Hibbs and Icea M. Briggs Hibbs. Grady served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957. Grady worked for the FAA for 22 1/2 years, was a fry cook at the country club in Clinton and served as the principal at Shawnee Mound School District for two years. He also worked as a substitute teacher for several years. Grady was a member of Enon Baptist Church.

Grady was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Hibbs; six brothers, Dennis Hibbs, Bill Hibbs, James Hibbs, Carl Hibbs, Charles Hibbs and Donald Hibbs; and four sisters, Dorothy L’oyo, Grace Hibbs, Betty Kanoy and Mary Daugherty.

Grady is survived by his daughters, Rena Meyer and husband, David, of Concordia, Missouri; Rhonda Julian and husband, Doug, of Clinton; many nieces and nephews, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home through Enon Baptist Church.
