Harold Dean McBride, 73, of Springfield, Ore., died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at The Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene, Ore.

He was born Nov. 29, 1939 in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Clarence Eugene and Alma Marie (Wolken) McBride. He married Cheryl Ariola on Oct. 15, 1959 in Eugene. She preceded him in death on Nov. 1, 1968. He worked for the B J Veneer company in Eugene for 20 years and then D M Ward Construction Company in Overland Park, Kan. He moved to Holden in 1968 and back to Oregon a year or two ago.

He is survived by one son, Robert McBride, of Holden, Mo.; one Daughter, Rhonda Gaila, of Warrensburg, Mo.; one sister, Barbara Hoover, of Olathe, Kan.; and six grand children. A son, John McBride, also preceded him in death.

Cremation will be performed under the direction of Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden, Mo.
