Harold Irving Persing, 70, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Monday, Nov. 13, at home.
Harold was born Sept. 16, 1947, in Waynesville, Missouri. He was the son of Norris and Margaret Ruth Persing, of Rolla, Missouri.
He graduated from Rolla High School, class of 1965. He also attended the University of Missouri-Rolla and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1970. He was united in marriage to Susan Light Montgomery on Dec. 28, 1985.
Harold worked in real estate and then worked and retired from the IRS.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Ruth Persing, of Warrensburg; wife, Susan Persing, of Warrensburg; two daughters, Ginger Clevenger and husband, Daryn, of Willard, Missouri; and Heather Persing, of Springfield, Missouri; three stepsons, Mark Montgomery and wife, Julie; Michael Montgomery and wife, Kerry; and Matt Montgomery, all of Warrensburg; six grandchildren, Shae Dossett, Tagan Pinkston and husband, Chance, Morgan Montgomery, Shelby Webb, Wyatt Montgomery, and Josie Montgomery, all of Warrensburg; and two great-grandchildren, Lilly Evans, of Willard, and Oliviah Dossett, of Warrensburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norris, and his sister, Diana Persing.
A memorial service was Sunday, Nov. 19, at the Warrensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
