Ivan Todd

Ivan Elizabeth Todd, 94 years, of Warrensburg, died Tuesday, March 15, at the Country Club Care Center.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, at the funeral home with Reverend Richard Rickard officiating. Interment will follow in Knob Noster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Todd, Leroy Whelehon, Ronnie Goring, John Babock, John Wade and Michael Cohran.

Ivan was born of Mary Myers on June 12, 1921 in Montserrat, Missouri.

On Aug. 5, 1944, she and George Todd were married in Warrensburg. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1981.

Ivan and George were the proud parents of two sons, Dennis Todd and his fiancée, Barbara Moore, of Warrensburg, and Charles Todd and wife, Janet, of Leeton. They had eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two great great-grandchildren, Shauna Nichole Todd and Annabelle Marie Terrell.

Ivan was a homemaker who never worked outside of the home. She was a wife and mother who enjoyed raising her sons, working on flower and vegetable gardens, canning vegetables and fruits, and visiting with family and friends. Ivan also enjoyed quilting, playing cards, and working on puzzles. She was always ready to help others.

Ivan was a devoted Christian and accepted Christ at an early age. She joined the Methodist Church at Montserrat where she was a Sunday school teacher. After moving to Warrensburg in 1995, she joined the Bethel Baptist Church where she attended and remained a member until her death.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Bethel Baptist Missionary Bibles and can be left in care of the funeral home.
