Jacob Tyler Patton, 16, of Holden, Missouri, died Sunday, March 27, at his home.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Holden with Father Pete Savidge of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Pastor Mike Campbell of Northside Assembly of God officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Jacob was born Dec. 9, 1999, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Brian C. Patton and Dana J. Van Meter-Patton. He was a sophomore at Holden High School at the time of his passing. He loved spending time at the lake, scuba diving and driving the boat. Jacob also enjoyed studying different languages, his church group and video gaming with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, Brian and Dana; sister, Sara Carter and husband, Kit, of Green Ridge; brother, Phillip Gudde, and wife, Casie, of Holden; maternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Van Meter, of Holden; niece, Chloe Gudde-Fizer; nephew, Paxton Zeikle; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and June Patton; maternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Van Meter; paternal great-grandmother, Neosha Buell; and cousin, Josh Van Meter.
