The Warrensburg Parks and Recreation Department recently announced the Junior Community Chorus will soon begin its 2013 spring season.
The program is open to boys and girls in third through sixth grade. Participants will learn proper vocal technique, singing in unison and two-part music and practice music reading.
The practices will take place from 4-5:15 p.m. Thursdays, from Jan. 31 to April 18 at the Warrensburg Community Center. No class will be held on March 21.
The chorus is directed by Gary Grigsby. The accompanist for the children’s chorus is Anita Grigsby.
The fee to join the choir is $35 per child. WPR Youth Scholarship is available.
