Katheryn Lee Billings, 78, Kingsville, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 24, at John Knox Village Care Center in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Elm Spring Baptist Church, Kingsville, Mo. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Elm Spring Cemetery under the direction of Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden, Mo.
She was born July 8, 1935 in Waverly, Mo. the daughter of Harry and Lillian (Chrisman) Bray. She was a graduate of Lone Jack High School and earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
On May 23, 1957 Katheryn married Donald Billings in Lee’s Summit, Mo. He preceded her in death Sept. 27, 1985. Mrs. Billings was a home economics teacher in the Grain Valley School District. She lived in the Kingsville community for 66 years. She was a Methodist and a member of Loaners on Wheels.
Surviving her passing are two sons, Don and Jim Billings, both in Oak Grove, Mo.; two sisters, Grace Gard, Kingsville, Mo., and Nancy Bradford, Archie, Mo.; two grandsons; and one great-grandchild.
