(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – The University of Central Missouri’s public broadcasting television station helped bring the joy of Christmas to area children by donating hundreds of books to a local program.
Michael O’Keefe, KMOS-TV’s program services coordinator, and Mary Clevenger, outreach coordinator, presented more than 500 children’s books for children of all ages to volunteers with the Johnson County Angel Tree on behalf of KMOS-TV.
The items will be distributed to area children by the program’s coordinators. The Angel Tree program serves area families by providing Christmas gifts for children in the Warrensburg area whose families are in need of assistance.
“This annual contribution to Angel Tree program is just one way KMOS-TV can supplement the quality children’s programming we are privileged provide to children in our viewing area,” Clevenger said.
This is the 14th year KMOS-TV has made donations to the community Angel Tree program as part of the station’s community outreach program.
