Leland Edward Huffman

Leland Edward Huffman, 71, of Holden, Missouri, died Friday, Feb. 19, at Kansas City Hospice House.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor Jim Millstead officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Leland was born March 17, 1944, in Warrensburg, the son of William Aber Huffman and Drucilla E. (Mowrey) Huffman. He graduated from Warrensburg High School. He was united in marriage to Judith Ann Craig on Jan. 16, 1964, in Kansas City, Kansas. The couple made their home in Oak Grove where Leland worked in cabinet manufacturing. In 1972, the family moved to Holden where he co-owned Master Craft Cabinets for many years. Later, he helped his sons start Master Marble in Holden. Leland loved playing golf with his wife, Judy, and spending time with their family at their lake house. He also enjoyed lawn work.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Huffman and wife, Angela, of Lee’s Summit; and Rick Huffman and wife, Gylin, of Holden; two brothers, William Huffman, of Houston, Texas; and twin brother, Larry Huffman, and wife, Sue, of Warrensburg; five grandchildren, Hailey, Nikki, Hattie, Will and Dillan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, in 2011 and his parents.

 

Memorial contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice House.
