Leona Belle Stewart, 89, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center.

Leona was born July 27, 1926, in Jackson, Nebraska, the daughter of William J. and Leone A. (Mapson) McCloud. She was united in marriage to Raymond Kenneth Stewart on Oct. 20, 1946, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The couple made their home in Wheatland, Missouri, for 40 years. They lived in Warrensburg since 2007. She was a member of St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Hermitage, Missouri.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Stewart and husband, Patrick Larkin, of Warrensburg; two sons, Duane Stewart and wife, Betsy, of Carbondale, Colorado; and Michael Stewart and wife, Lenny, of Snow Flake, Arizona; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, and several brothers and sisters.

Following cremation, there will be a private interment at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.
