Leslea Sueann Shannon, 35, of Warrensburg, died Oct. 29 in Leslie, Arkansas.

She was born May 20, 1983, in Warrensburg, the daughter of Kent and Kerri (Swope) Shannon.

She attended Crest Ridge High School in Centerview, Missouri, and graduated in 2001.

She was employed at Wincup in Higginsville, Missouri, and she is well remembered as an assistant manager in local stores in Warrensburg.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Swope.

She is survived by her parents, Kent and Kerri Shannon; her brother, Buddy Shannon of the home; daughters Elizabeth Selig and Bella Shannon; grandmother, Sue Swope; grandparents, Delmar and Rose Mary Shannon; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was baptized in the Centerview Baptist Church. Leslea is remembered as loving softball. She was a coach for many years for her daughters’ softball team in Centerview. She also enjoyed taking her brother to special needs dances and out to eat at Mexican restaurants. She loved to take her daughters fishing and swimming.

Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 10, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Dr. Randall S. Neal officiated the service, and she was laid to rest in Centerview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim Russell, of Warrensburg; Chris Shannon, of Saint Charles, Missouri; Dan Shannon, of Florissant, Missouri; Tom Shannon, of Des Peres, Missouri; Sean Shannon, of Des Peres; Michael Stokes, of Warrensburg; and Jeff Murphy, of Warrensburg.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Autism Society of American and checks can be left in care of the funeral home.
