Linda Darlene Reynolds, 57, of Holden, Missouri, died Monday, Dec. 7, at her home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Kingsville Baptist Church with Pastor John McRoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Holden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Reynolds II, Derrick Reynolds, Jeff Reynolds, Adam Reynolds, Jeremiah Russell and Daniel Charboneau.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.
Linda was born Sept. 26, 1958, in Holden, the daughter of Louis “Kenneth” Leavy and Sylvia Mary (Fawcett) Leavy. During her formative years, she milked cows on the family farm before and after school. She graduated from Holden High School in 1976. Linda was a police officer with the city of Holden for two years. Next, she moved to Blue Springs where she was employed by Wal-Mart. On July 7, 1987, she was united in marriage to Robert Duane Reynolds at Wesley Chapel, north of Holden. Linda was briefly employed with the Blue Springs School District prior to the couple moving to an acreage near Holden in 1989. She was a member of the Holden VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of Kingsville Baptist Church where she served as song leader for several years. Linda also enjoyed attending “Pink Tees” support group and being involved with “Pink Sisters” website to support others who have suffered breast cancer.
Survivors include her husband, Robert “Buck;” son, Adam Jesse Reynolds and wife, Katie, of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, April Lynn Reynolds, of the home; stepdaughter, Sharilyn Janene Reynolds and fiancé, Jeremiah Russell, of Olathe, Kansas; three stepsons, Robert Duane Reynolds II, and wife, Jessica, of Eudora, Kansas; Derrick Ephrom Reynolds and wife, Jen, of Olathe; and Jeff Lee Reynolds and wife, Kristy, of Olathe; sister, Sharon Sue Charboneau, and husband, Larry, of Holden; brother, James Kenneth Leavy, of Warrensburg, Missouri; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; baby girl, Leavy; and an infant brother, Bobby Dean Leavy.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Kansas City Cancer Center.
