Lois E. Clarke, 84, of Holden, Missouri, died Saturday, Feb. 6, at her home.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden, Missouri. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Leona Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in the Holden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Borntreger, Levi Borntreger, Jake Dubin, Jared Clarke, Duane Williams and Al West.
Lois was born March 22, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Chester and Cleo P. (Hamilton) Isom. She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School. She was united in marriage to James T. Clarke on Feb. 11, 1950, in Kansas City. Lois was a cook at both the Holden Elementary and Middle Schools for many years. She was active in the Altogether Homemakers Club. She also loved sewing, canning and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lynn Dodson of Independence, Missouri; two sons, James Clarke and wife, Lynda of Lake Tapawingo, Missouri, and Stanley Clarke of Holden, Missouri; sister-in-law, Isabella Burns of Rosemead, California; six grandchildren, Angie Jones of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Jennifer Clarke of St. Louis; Jared Clarke of Warrensburg, Missouri; Misty Dubin and husband, Jake of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; Levi Borntreger and wife, Theresa of Belton, Missouri, and Luke Borntreger and wife, Heather of Belton, Missouri; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, and her brother, Daniel Isom.
