Mae Alice Dollar, 59, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Friday, Nov. 27, at her home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Warrensburg with Dr. Terrence Moody officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Pallbearers will be Robert Moore, Leroy White, Carlos Hill, Marice Ingram, Stanley Dollar Jr., and Marcus Dollar Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Watson, Charles Briscoe and Sherman Tinder. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
She was born June 27, 1956, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert and Ruth (Stigar) Brown-Carr Sr.
She married Stanley Dollar on March 26, 1976, in Belleview, Illinois. He survives at the home.
Mae was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Warrensburg. She worked at the Warrensburg School District as a cafeteria aid and as a food service worker in California. She loved her family, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed writing letters to friends and relatives and was a generous and caring person.
Mae is survived by her husband, Stanley, of Warrensburg; a daughter, Alisha Dollar, of Warrensburg; two sons, Stanley Dollar Jr., of Tampa, Florida; and Marcus Dollar, of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Nancie Hurst, of Nashville, Tennessee; five brothers, Ed, John, Robert Lee and Herbert Carr, all of Cahokia, Illinois; and Authur Brown, of St. Joseph, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
