Marjorie Dyer, 79, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Thursday, Jan. 21, at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Basye officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clinton Boyles, Kameron and Trevor Key, Hunter Schuerenberg, and Daniel and David DesCombes. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home.
She was born May 27, 1936, in Leeton, Missouri, the daughter of Jesse and Dorothy (Gildersleeve) DesCombes.
She and Marion “Mark” Marcus Dyer were united in marriage on June 30, 1957, at the First Christian Church of Warrensburg. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2013.
Margie was a graduate of Leeton High School, attended CMSU and was a member of the First Christian Church of Warrensburg.
Margie was a part-time secretary for the American Red Cross of Warrensburg. She and her husband owned and operated Campus Realty in Warrensburg where she took care of all the bookkeeping. Margie loved to work in the yard, going to races, camping and traveling.
Margie is survived by two daughters, Debbie Boyles, and husband, Joe, of Greenwood, Missouri; and Denise Key and husband, Darrin, of Warrensburg; two brothers, Charles DesCombes, and wife, Dorcas, of Clinton, Missouri; and Bill DesCombes and wife, Jan, of Arvada, Colorado; and four grandchildren, Jessica Schuerenberg and husband, Hunter, of New Whiteland, Indiana; Clinton Boyles, of Greenwood; and Kameron and Trevor Key, of Warrensburg.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the First Christian Church of Warrensburg and can be left in care of the funeral home.
