Marva Jean Tompkins, 79, of Holden, Missouri, died Friday, Jan. 30, at home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home in Holden.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home. Interment will be at Holden Cemetery.
Marva was born Sept. 13, 1935, in Warrensburg Missouri, the daughter of Rodney Robert Stockton and Sarah Adelaide (McClure) Stockton. She married Ivan Tompkins on Sept. 11, 1954. Marva had lived in the Holden area since 1949. She worked for Holden Manufacturing and Gudde Truck and Tractor as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Holden First United Methodist Church.
Surviving her passing are her husband, Ivan, of the home; one son, William Allen Tompkins, Kingsville, Missouri; two daughters, Vicki Lynne Hamilton, Holden; and Debbie Bradfield, Holden; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Marva was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Robert Burton Tompkins.
