Mary Melissa Breshears, 96, of Warsaw, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 1 at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside services and burial are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Shiloh Cemetery, south of Warsaw, Mo., under the direction of Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden, Mo. The Rev. Maureen McNeil will be the officiant. Friends may call 10–11 a.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Joe Campbell, Gerald Campbell, Jim Alexander, Mark Breshears, Chuck Breshears and John Breshears.
Mrs. Breshears was born April 14, 1916 in New Florence, Mo., the daughter of Sinclair “Sink” and Hettie Victoria (Barclay) Jackson. She grew up in Fairfield and lived in Kansas City 16 years before moving to Warsaw in 1958. She married Elvin Edmond Breshears on Jan. 6, 1935. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1977.
Mrs. Breshears was a cook in several area restaurants and for several years at Warsaw North Elementary School. She was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church near Warsaw.
Surviving her passing are one son, Dale Breshears, of Versailles, Mo.; two daughters, Elaine Campbell and Enora Alexander, both of Warsaw; a brother, Junior Jackson, of Warsaw; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Joseph Campbell of Holden is a grandson.
Mary was also preceded in death by two sons, Chuck and Raymond Breshears; brothers, Paul, Bud, Kelley, Robert and Curt; sisters, Chub and Pauline; and one granddaughter, Tammy.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Benton County Hospice.
