Matthew James Headley

Matthew James Headley, 28, of Leeton, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 13, as the result of an automobile accident.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Mapes officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jesse Welch, Jacob Welch, Edward Headley, Jr., Bruce Austin, Bryce Austin, and Matt Armstrong.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Matthew James Headley Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Linda Headley and can be left in the funeral home.

He was born Nov. 3, 1985, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of Edward and Linda (Osbun) Headley, Sr.

On April 7, 2007, he married Rosina Headley in Leeton, Mo.

Matthew worked for L & L Lawn Service in Warrensburg as a Property Preservation Specialist.  His greatest pastime was spending time with his daughters and fishing.

Matthew is survived by his wife Rosina, two daughters, Angel and Faith Headley, all of Knob Noster, Mo.; his mother, Linda Headley and companion Bruce Austin of Knob Noster; his father, Edward Headley, Sr. of Laro, Fla.; his brother, Edward Headley, Jr. and wife Raegan of Warrrensburg; his sister, Cheryl Headley of Lakeland, Fla.; his maternal grandmother, Roberta Renshaw of Plant City, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Eloise Nichols, and paternal grandfather, Eugene Clinton Hester.
