Maudie D. Brown, 87 of Holden, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Holden Manor Care Center.

Maudie was born March 8, 1926 in Chicora, Penn. the daughter of Andy and Blanche M. (Fennel) Hayes. She married Jack C. Brown on February 7, 1942 in Chicora. The couple lived in Pennsylvania and Illinois for several years prior to moving to Holden. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Jack Brown and wife, Phyllis and Terry Brown and wife, Brenda, all of Holden; daughter-in-law, Donna Brown of Piedmont, Mo.; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; daughter, Esther Wilson; son, Larry Brown; grandson, Terry Brown, Jr.; two granddaughters, Christina Brown and Francine Brown; and great grandson, James Brown.
