(SEDALIA, Mo.) – The Missouri State Fair was recently recognized as a premier agricultural showcase by the International Association of Fairs and Expositions, according to a news release.
During the recent annual IAFE Convention, the Fair received more than 30 awards for its programs in agriculture education, competitive exhibits and communications.
“It is outstanding to see the Missouri State Fair recognized on an international scale,” said Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe in a news release. “Our celebration of Missouri agriculture is truly among the best in the U.S. as well as internationally. These acknowledgments help serve as guidance for the commission and staff who work diligently to ensure that our State Fair fosters success among Missouri youth.”
Among the more than 30 awards, the Missouri State Fair won several top honors in the agriculture, competitive exhibits and communications categories. Missouri’s state fair vies for awards with U.S. and international fairs and festivals with similar attendance, between 250,001 and 500,000.
