Mules advance to MIAA semifinals

(KANSAS CITY, Mo., digitalBURG) — Mules basketball is headed to the semifinal round of the MIAA Tournament after securing a 59-54 win over the University of Central Oklahoma.

The score was close all game, with eight ties or lead changes in the final five minutes of the contest. The Mules came out on top though, scoring the win and a spot in Saturday’s semifinal round against Nebraska-Kearney.

DJ Richardson led the Mules with 18 points and four steals. Spencer Reaves had 13 points, five assists and four steals. Jakob Lowrance racked up eight points, six boards and two blocks off the bench, and Brad Woodson came in with a team-high nine rebounds.

The Mules face Nebraska-Kearney at noon this Saturday at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri.
