Robert Michael Kelly (Mike), 70, died at his home in Kingsville, Missouri, on June 26.

Graveside services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri, on Friday, July 6, under the direction of Ben Cast and Son-Wood Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life dinner will follow the services at Elm Spring Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Mike was born March 17, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John and Marian Kelly. He married Sandra Lee Thornburg on Dec. 29, 1968, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

They have made their home in Kingsville for the past 33 years. Mike served in the Vietnam War and was a proud Marine.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sandy, of the home; his daughters, Dawn (Brian) James, Altadena, California; and Heather (Jim) Whitsitt, Kingsville, Missouri; Five Grandchildren, Erika, Brandon, and Samantha James; and Megan and Chloe Whitsitt; as well as his sister, Kathy (Don) Reffitt; and his nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marian Kelly; his brothers, John G Kelly and Joseph Maiden; and his son, John Michael Kelly.
