Roland H. Hodges, 82, of Holden, Missouri, died Friday, April 10, at his home.

Roland was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Inark, Arkansas, the son of Robert Roland Hodges and Goldie Marie (McClellan) Hodges. At 19, he moved to St. Louis where we went to work for General Motors Corporation. Next, he lived in Wood River, Illinois. In 1983, Roland retired from General Motors and then returned to Arkansas. He made his home in Judsonia and later, Mountain Home prior to moving to Holden two years ago. Roland enjoyed hunting and repairing and restoring cars.

Survivors include five children, Mitchell Hodges, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Eric Hodges, of Searcy, Arkansas; Mary Elaine Kuykendall, of Holden; Angie Wallace, of Illinois; and Charles Hodges, of Alton, Illinois; three sisters, Aisedene, of Searcy; Barbara Jean, of Griffithville, Arkansas; and Sandra, of Dallas, Texas; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Shelby Hodges, three brothers and one sister.

Following cremation, no services are planned.
