Ronald Dean Klungseth, 56, died Sunday, Aug. 3, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg with Chaplain James Stricher officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
A reception will follow the service at the Oasis Bar in Montserrat, Missouri.
Ron will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at a later date.
Ron was born July 25, 1958, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1996 at Whiteman Air Force Base as a technical sergeant. Ron also worked for Stahl Specialty Company. He was a loyal and steadfast friend, neighbor and father. Ron was always excited to socialize and always willing to help anyone he could. A polite and generous man with an infectious smile and a rare spark for life, Ron had a way of making people feel important and cared about.
Ron is survived by his mother, Vivian Klungseth; his two daughters, Colleen Hillesheim and husband, Matthew; and Sara Creegan and her husband, Daniel, and their young son, Kyler Creegan; his two brothers, Ted Klungseth and wife, Trish; and Terry Klungseth and wife, Sherry, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin “Shorty” Klungseth, and one brother, David Klungseth.
