Ruberta Evalena Wyand

Ruberta Evalena Wyand, 89, of Centerview, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 23, at home.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo. Elder Clayton Foss will officiate the service.

Ruberta was born Dec. 7, 1924, in Globe, Ariz., the daughter of Otis and Lucille (Williams) Parks. She graduated from Leadwood High School in Leadwood, Mo. She married Gilbert Wyand on June 12, 1949, in Chicago, Ill. They moved to Centerview six years ago from Independence, Mo. Ruberta was a housewife and waitress and also worked at Eckards Drug Store for several years. Ruberta was a member of the Chilhowee Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ in Chilhowee, Mo.

She is survived by one son, Kieth Wyand of Hudson, Fla.; four daughters, Deborah Henderson and Rhonda Phoenix both of Holden, Mo.; Kim Secord of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Lisa Sylvester of Tipp City, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Services are under the direction of Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home Holden.
