Sara Hite, 78, of Holden, Missouri, died Nov. 23, at home.

Sara was born July 6, 1937, in Centerview, Missouri, to Harrison (HG JAKE) Grant Dilks and Sarah Janie (Carson) Dilks. Sara spent most of her life as a homemaker managing the farm and the household. Sara was a member of the Holden First Christian Church where she was a member of the Sew and Sews, and Christian Women’s Fellowship.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Loren Loyd Hite; one son, David Hite; and one brother, Harold Dilks.

Surviving her passing are one son, Charles Hite, and wife, Donna, of Warrensburg, Missouri; four daughters, Nancy Long, and husband, Robert, of Liberty, Missouri; Linda Foley and husband, Larry, of Kingsville, Missouri; Sherry Spiwak, of Holden; Judith Groom and husband, Mike, of Kingsville; one brother, Jake E. Dilks; 16 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral services were Friday, Nov. 27, at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home in Holden.
