Tony Lee Smith, 60, died on Aug. 28, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Interment will be at a later date in Blackwater Cemetery near his parents and brother.

He was born October 15, 1955 in Holden, Missouri, the son of Thomas James and Dorothy Faye (Corning) Smith.

Tony attended Holden schools. On April 9, 1976, he and Mary Lyons were united in marriage. A son, Ozzy Smith, blessed this marriage in 1981. They were divorced in August of 1982.

Tony had a quirky sense of humor. He enjoyed listening to heavy metal music and playing chess.

Tony leaves a son, Ozzy Smith, and wife, Chastity, of Kansas City; five sisters, Helen Whitsitt, Dora Smith, Tina Campbell, Wanda Smith, and Sally Rathbun; three brothers, Duane Thowe, Gene Smith, and Joe Smith; and three grandchildren, Samantha, Kyle, and Milh Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James Smith.
