Jennies bowling resumed their 2018-2019 season over the weekend, taking 13th place out of 21 teams at the Arkansas State Mid-Winter Open in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Day One saw the Jennies go 2-2 with wins over Mckendree and Drury. Their losses came to Sam Houston State and host team, Arkansas State.
The Jennies went 3-2 on the second day of competition, falling to Valparaiso and Alabama State. In the championship bracket, the Jennies defeated Kentucky Wesleyan, Jackson State and got revenge against Valparaiso to take 13th.
Sophomore Paytynn Kuhns earned a top-20 individual finish and was the Jennies individual pin leader with 978. Freshman Stephanie Richards was the Jennies other top-50 finisher in 46th with 902 pins.
The Jennies will take a week off before heading to St. Louis for the Maryville Saints Invitational. The three-day event spans Jan. 25-27.
