Jennies soccer announced Tuesday that 10 recruits had signed on to join the team for the 2019 season.
The Jennies finished the 2018 season with a 19-5-1 record and earned the NCAA Central Region championship before falling in the Elite Eight to Grand Valley State.
Each of the Jennies 10 additions played high school soccer in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The class of recruits includes twin sisters Katelyn and Madi Poertner out of Blue Springs South High School where they appeared in four state championships and won three. Sophomore Kassie Newsom transferred from Saint Louis University to join the Jennies. She scored 66 goals in her career at Lee’s Summit West High School and was the Missouri 4A Player of the Year.
