Venita Ethel Heidler, 96, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Sunday, June 19, at NorthCare Hospice in Kansas City.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Lowry officiating. Interment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Venita was born April 30, 1920, in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas and Ethel Lena (Fosnow) Tygart.

She and John Heidler were married on Aug. 24, 1937, in Warrensburg. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1991.

Venita was a homemaker and loved to garden. She was a member of Northside Christian Church of Warrensburg and a former member of Leeton Christian Church.

Venita is survived by two brothers, Vernon Tygart and wife, Marsha Ann, of Kansas City; and Audrey Tygart, of Smithville, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Shelby, Charles and Alva Tygart; and two sisters, Gladys Hanson and Clara Fiene.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home or NorthCare Hospice and can be left in care of the funeral home.
