Walter Raymond “Ray” Brown, 72, of Holden, Missouri, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Holden Manor Care Center.
Following cremation, entombment will take place at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville.
Ray was born Nov. 14, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, son of Walter H. Brown and Mary Elsie (McKinney) Brown. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He had lived in Fenton, Missouri, for many years prior to moving to Dittmer.
For the past several years, Ray had resided in Holden, Missouri. He was a meat cutter by trade. His hobbies included horseback riding, hunting, fishing, black powder and archery.
Survivors include two daughters: Nicole Stowell and fiance, Baxter Armstrong of Warrensburg, and Stephanie Johnson of Blairstown, Missouri; two grandchildren: Chris (Sam) Suida and Dylan Johnson and two great grandchildren: Adelynn Dawn Grace Suida and Aiden Andrew Suida. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Debbie Brown; and grandson: Andrew LeRoy Horning.
Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
