(Warrensburg, Mo.) — Western Missouri Medical Center is hosting a free health fair to celebrate the grand opening of its new Medical Office Building.
The free event is scheduled for 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, June 28, at WMMC.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at the office building entrance which is adjacent to the outpatient entrance. Tours will be provided after the ribbon cutting. A health fair will include health screenings and education, activities for children and giveaways for the first 1,000 attendees, according to a news release.
The $8.4 million project was designed by HMN Architects Inc. and is three stories tall with more than 43,000 square feet of space. The building houses a variety of specialties.
The office building’s first floor includes a new cancer center and outpatient lab and the third floor houses the pain management center, sleep laboratory and Surgical Services of Warrensburg. The second floor is being reserved for future health care needs.
