WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Warrensburg High School head football coach Wiley Meade has had success everywhere he has coached -- Pahrump Valley High School and Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada, Coffeyville Community College in Kansas, and the University of Oklahoma -- but last year didn't go quite as expected for the first-time head coach who watched his team lose every game except for the season finale.

BROOKLYN, Mich. (AP) -- Carl Edwards looked in his mirrors and saw the guy he had to beat.

With two laps remaining and one final restart coming up in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway, Kyle Busch, the only driver that Edwards trails in the points, was right on his rear bumper.

Edwards said he thought about the race last month at Chicagoland Speedway when Busch passed two-time reigning Cup champion Jimmie Johnson after a late-race restart for one of his season-high eight victories.

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Saturday night at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) was full of great racing action, mixed emotions and several happy young race fans for Kids’ Night at the speedway.

Prior to the start of the evening’s competition, promoter Earl Walls made the surprising announcement that he and wife Susan have put the race track up for sale and will be retiring after the end of this year as promoters of CMS.
