Mules Golf has runner-up finish at Brickyard Invitational

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) — The 15th ranked Central Missouri Mules golf team fired a final round 289 to finish at six-under par as a team and finish second at the Brickyard Invitational at Brickyard Crossing Golf Club. The Mules finished two shots behind team champion and No. 1 ranked Barry University, according to a press release.

Cy Moritz and Alex Springer each shot final round scores of 70 and finished in a tie for third at two-under par, 214. Travis Mays and Teddy Jones were one shot back tied for sixth at one-under, 215.

Adam Svensson of Barry took home the individual title with a 14-under par 202.

The Mules finished 17 shots in front of third place Nova Southeastern, who is ranked No. 2 in the nation.

The Mules are back in action Sept. 23-24 at the Northeastern State Classic in Tulsa, Okla. It is the second MIAA sanctioned event of the season.
