(TULSA, Okla.) — The 15th-ranked Central Missouri Mules golf team captured their first team title of the season with a three-round total of 987 at the Northeastern State Classic at Emerald Falls Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, according to a press release. The Mules won by seven shots over runner-up Northeastern State.
The Mules were tied for the team lead with the RiverHawks after two rounds, but shot a final round 295, the lowest of the tournament to capture the team crown. Cy Moritz and Sam Migdal finished in a tie for fifth place after carding seven-over pars, 223. Travis Mays tied for 10th at nine-over par, 225, while Alex Springer tied for 18th (+12, 228) and Teddy Jones tied for 57th (+23, 239).
Micheal Hearne of Southern Nazarene captured the individual title with a two-over par 218.
The Mules are back in action October 7 and 8 hosting the UCM Heart of America Invitational at Keth Memorial Golf Course.
