Cindy Stehmann, age 39, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, in Warrensburg.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3, at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Taylor, Tim Gardner, Joe Crump, and John Stehmann. The family will receive friends for a short visitation starting at 1 p.m. at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
She was born Feb. 13, 1978, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of John and Cecile (Lewis) Stehmann.
Cindy was devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with her special friend, Tim Gardner. She always found the time to help animals, never turning down a stray in need. Cindy was raised in an Air Force family and traveled a lot when she was growing up. This lifestyle continued throughout her life as her interest in travel led her to work and play in several states including Colorado, Texas, Oregon and finally back to Warrensburg, where she lived the last couple of years.
Cindy loved to do anything outside, especially walking and hiking. She shared the love of flowers with her niece and cousins. Country music was Cindy’s favorite. She will be mostly remembered for the little things she did to bring a smile to someone’s day. She was authentic and refreshingly candid and never afraid to state her opinions.
Cindy is survived by her parents, John and Cecile Stehmann of Warrensburg; a sister, Natalie Crump and husband, Joe, of Jefferson City, Missouri; a brother, John David Stehmann of Warrensburg; maternal grandparents Arthur and Frankie Lewis of Del Rio, Texas; a niece, Katie Sue Stehmann of Warrensburg; and cousins Anthony and Olivia de Laurier.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Stehmann.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cindy Stehmann Memorial Fund with checks made payable to John Stehmann and can be left in care of the funeral home.
