Jennies Golf finishes in sixth place at Green and Gold Classic

(MARYVILLE, Mo.) – The Central Missouri Jennies Golf team fired a two-round total of 717, 141-over par to place sixth out of 10 teams at the Green and Gold Classic hosted by Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri.

The first round of the tournament Sunday was played at the St. Joseph Country Club with Monday’s final round being played at Mozingo Lake Golf Course in Maryville.

Katie Threlkeld was the highest placing Jennie in a tie for 14th place with a +29, 173. Kayla Temple finished in 16th after shooting a 30-over par, 174. Krystal Martinez came in 35th place with a 186 with Liz Boatright one shot back at 187 in a tie for 36th. Jordan Thoreson finished in a tie for 45th with a 195.

Central Oklahoma captured the team title with a two-round total of 53-over, 629. Aly Seng, also of UCO, won individual medalist honors with a seven-over 151.

The Jennies are back in action April 22 and 23 at the MIAA Championships in Smithville, Mo. at the Outlaw Golf Club.
